Gennaker Rigging Overview

The Xenon Gennaker sail is a very large lightweight sail. It adds another dimension to sailing the Xenon. It is very versatile and can be used in virtually all downwind points of sail depending on the strength of the wind. Contrary to common perceptions it is easy to launch and retrieve and well worth the minor hassle of rigging. The one disadvantage is that you will run out of water relatively quickly! - a decent sized sailing venue is a must to enjoy this sail. Enjoy the fun

The Xenon Gennaker rigging information is split into two sections listed below.

a)   The Standing rigging, ie the rigging that can be left in place when the boat is in storage

b)   Rigging the Gennaker Sail, ie the lines connecting the Gennaker sail to the front of the Bowsprit pole (T), Hoist Line (H) /Downhaul (Patches) and sheets(C). These are rigged just before sailing.
